Jane (Katherine Keigle) is in love with her boss (Edward Burns) who proposes to Jane's sister Tess. (Malin Akerman). Jane met Kevin (James Marsden) at a wedding she attended and he got her a taxi home. She mistakenly left her day planner in his car and he uses the information for a story he is writing for his job as a journalist. There are several love triangles woven into this light hearted romantic comedy with many fun and surprising plot twists.
